This X-Pipe Design uses the same high quality 200 Cell catalytic Converters as our crossover Cat-Pipes , the difference is the piping design ,on the X-pipe design the exhaust gases coming out of each bank are much better balanced resulting in a deeper exhaust tone, the X-Pipe also produces most of its HP gains on the higher RPM band. We use the best Catalytic Converters available for your 996, don't waste your time elsewhere these are the best on the market . Replacing the factory restrictive Catalytic Converters with the NHP 200 Cells Cat pipes is where you should start when looking for best power gains on a exhaust system the factory cats are very restrictive, replacing them with the NHP Cats will greatly improve exhaust flow and will improve sound.
We have also designed this X-Pipe with one adjustable flange, this design allows this X-pipe to be installed with any aftermarket headers without fitment issues. The reason is that we built our parts according to the factory mounting points, sometimes aftermarket parts may have slight different angles and may cause problems when fitting other exhaust parts, with our adjustable flange its a perfect fit all the time regardless of the brand for the rest of the exhaust system.
Gaskets and Hardware included.
OPTIONAL, if your factory sleeve clamps that connect the catalytic converters to the mufflers appear to be very rusted and may need replacement take a look at our sleeve clamps.
Guaranteed no check engine light, we use the best tri-metal cartridges.
Perfect fitment with factory exhaust or aftermarket exhaust, the O2 Sensors fit perfectly, these mount just like the OEM cats re-using same clamps and mounts. Made of T-304 Stainless Steel with a polished finish. Cat replacement should get you approx 10HP Gain.
NHP uses thicker stainless steel flanges and high quality T-304 SS. These are direct replacements, no modifications are necessary.
