ALUMINUM JACK PAD
The Audi Engineers sure made our lives difficult when it came to lift the R8 with a floor jack. With no jack normally included in the cars toolbox many would scratch their heads to try and figure out how to safely raise the R8 for a simple DIY job like wheel removal, brake job etc. Well here at Maxspeed-Motorsports we have the solution, we machined a beautiful piece of aluminum into a Jack Pad for the R8, safely raise your car with damaging the underside of your R8. Comes in Black machined with aircraft grade aluminum.
How to use it?
The simplest way is to slowly raise the floor jack and wiggle it gently until it sits in the jacking point.
Or when you get good at it
Well it’s a little tricky, put the jack pad on the floor jack, align it to the R8’s jacking point and with a double movement raise the floor jack’s front by lifting the front of the floor jack with your hands to align the jack pad so that it sits inside the jacking point and at the same time lower the floor jack bar and it will be locked in place.
Remember for your safety, never attempt to go underneath a car with securing it first with jack stands.
ALUMINUM WHEEL GUIDE
The must have tool for wheel removal. Remove and install your wheels with much less effort, avoid damaging your calipers when removing your wheels, superb tool and must have in your toolbox.
The idea behind this is to use your wheel guide mounting bolt and slide the wheel over the guide this reducing effort for wheel removal and protecting your nice Porsche Calipers and discs.
One wheel guide will do the trick, but using two wheel guides is even better when removing and install a wheel.
