Maxspeed-Motorsports is now offering 997 Turbo VTG Heat Shields with the cooperation of a leading manufacturer in the industry we have developed the 997 Turbo VTG Heat Shields.
Made of pure titanium fabric inside and out these will easily resist continuous usage at 650 Degrees Celcius (1200 Degrees F) for long periods of time with a maximum resistance of 1093 Degree Celcius (2000 Degrees F) for the exterior surface , the interior insulation is made of high quality ceramic wool, resistant to 750 degree C (1380 Degrees F) for long periods of time with a maximum resistance of 1095 degree C (2000 Degrees F) for the interior surface.
The 997 Turbo VTG Turbocharger Heat Shields isolates the heat produced by your turbocharger, and prevents that heat from damaging, or even igniting, components surrounding the turbocharger within your engine compartment, such as plastic and rubber hoses and electrical wiring, as well as painted surfaces, such as the engine bay, it also prevents areas of localized high temperature from damaging the engine itself.
These 997 Turbo VTG Heat Shields will significantly reduce overall engine bay temperatures to help increase spool time and horsepower.
About Installation
It's not complicated to install these heat shields however due to limitation in space installing these heat shields will require you to fit them with very little space it is normal to feel some resistance to get them around the Turbos, the exhaust probes must be removed (Unscrewed) in order to install theses, the heat shields fit on the hot side of the Turbocharger.
