For the 97-99 2.5L Boxster only , these 200 Cells Mid-Pipes will not fit with the factory Exhaust Headers, in order to install these 200 Cells Mid-Pipes you must purchase the NHP 986 Exhaust Headers
For the 00-04 2.7L/3.2L Boxster , these 200 cells Mid-Pipes replace the restrictive factory catalytic converters, but this will not affect the ecu since that the secondary cats are not monitored by the ECU.

The NHP Exhaust 200 Cells Mid-Pipes are built with Tri-Metal High Quality 200 Cells Catalytic Cartridges coated with rhodium/palladium/platinum, made with T-304 Stainless Steel, Mandrel Bend 50mm piping and heat shields that are clamped on and not welded on avoiding any rattling issues caused normally by heat shields. Designed to replace the factory Catalytic Converters Mid-Pipes on the 1997-2004 Porsche Boxster 2.5L, 2.7L and Boxster S 3.2L. You will retain the factory configuration and your vehicle will pass emissions. You can expect improved high end power.
They have been designed to fit with factory primary headers and factory muffler on the 2.7L and 3.2L (Please see note above for the 2.5L Boxster), so even if you change the mid-pipes only and retain the rest of the factory exhaust these will fit, gaskets and hardware are included. For fitment with other aftermarket exhaust part, we cannot guarantee perfect fitment, if your aftermarket exhaust parts use the same flanges as the factory flanges chances are that these will fit with your aftermarket exhaust. We only guarantee fitment with OEM exhaust parts and NHP Exhaust Parts.
The OEM factory Mid-Pipes with Catalytic Converters are very restrictive and may cause loss of performance. These Mid-Pipes have a larger piping diameter, the outside diameter is 50mm versus 40mm diameter on the stock mid-pipes and they are fitted with less restrictive 200 Cells Catalytic Converters.
Our Mid-Pipes quality and fitment is superior versus the competition, we have the correct shape and bending, they aren't simply bent in L shape they follow the factory bending.
Replacement with the NHP Mid-Pipes will improve engine power by approx 10HP at the wheels.

Our High Performance Exhaust with sports catalytic converters are built and meant for off-road purposes.
Our Exhaust Products “Lifetime Warranty” does not cover catalytic converter error codes.
Please note that when installing High Performance Catalytic Converters there is a possibility that you may get a “Check Engine Light” for Catalytic Converter Inefficiency or other Catalytic Converter related error codes. This may or may not happen, this is due to lowering the Cell Count of the catalytic cartridge, in other words we need to work with the same surface area with a lower cell count, most OEM Catalytic Converters will have 600 to 800 Cells per square inch, High Performance Catalytic Converters are only 200 Cells per square inch. If you get a check engine light it’s not because the product is defective but it’s the ECU picking up the difference and relating those error messages.
There are several ways to deal with this.
Most Efficient is the Flash the ECU with performance software, make sure to tell your tuner that you have 200 Cell Cats. This is the most expensive and most efficient.
Use 02 Bungs, many have been successful by using 02 Bungs however this is not 100% Bullet Proof.
Purchase OBD2 Scanner, read your codes and erase them. For those of you who are not annoyed by the use of a scanner on a weekly basis this is the cheapest solution.

The NHP Exhaust Headers are a huge improvement over the stock headers, 42mm primary piping that joins into a racing merger collector and exits via a 53mm exit pipe. Made of T-304 Stainless Steel smooth mandrel bends, perfect welds, stainless steel flanges. Our merge collector is welded to the exit pipe and not overlapped on the exit pipe like most other headers out there. Read More below....

With the mandrel bend primary piping increased to 42mm it allows for more exhaust flow before entering the Tri-Metal 200 cells Sport Catalytic Converters coated with rodhium/palladium/platinum , our Catalytic cartridge have 200 cells per square inch instead of 600 cells per square inch, with the larger primary piping and less restrictive catalytic these headers achieve a much better exhaust flow.
